Welcome to SaltRidge Inc. (“SaltRidge,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the SaltRidge website, including our online store, product listings, online ordering system, and related services (collectively, the “Website”).

Our Website operates using WordPress and WooCommerce.

By accessing our Website, creating an account, placing an order, or purchasing products from SaltRidge, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our Website or place an order.

  1. ABOUT SALTRIDGE

SaltRidge Inc. is an Ontario-based supplier and distributor of Himalayan salt and related salt products.

Our products may be available for retail, wholesale, agricultural, equine, livestock, hunting, food, de-icing, water-softening, and other applications, depending on the specific product.

We sell to both:

  • Individual consumers;
  • Retail customers;
  • Feed and farm stores;
  • Equine and agricultural businesses;
  • Livestock operations;
  • Wholesalers and distributors;
  • Other commercial customers.

Different pricing, minimum quantities, payment requirements, delivery charges, and other conditions may apply to wholesale and commercial customers.

  1. ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS

By using the Website or placing an order, you confirm that:

  • You have read and understood these Terms;
  • You agree to comply with these Terms;
  • You are legally capable of entering into a purchase agreement;
  • The information you provide to us is accurate and complete.

If you are placing an order on behalf of a business or organization, you represent that you have authority to make the purchase on its behalf.

  • Use the Website for fraudulent or unlawful purposes;

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, specifications, weights, dimensions, ingredients, and other information displayed on the Website are accurate.

However, some information may change from time to time.

Product photographs are provided for illustration and may not exactly represent the actual product, packaging, colour, shape, or appearance.

Natural Himalayan salt products may vary in:

  • Colour;
  • Shape;
  • Texture;
  • Crystal structure;
  • Mineral appearance;
  • Size and natural characteristics.

These natural variations do not necessarily indicate a defective product.

Where a product’s weight is described as approximate, minor variations may occur.

If a particular product specification is important to your intended application, please contact SaltRidge before placing your order.

  1. PRODUCT USE

Customers are responsible for determining whether a SaltRidge product is suitable for their intended use.

Products should be used according to their product descriptions, labels, instructions, warnings, and applicable recommendations.

SaltRidge products may be intended for different applications, including food, animal and equine use, livestock, hunting, de-icing, water softening, or other purposes.

Not every SaltRidge product is suitable for every application.

Customers must select the appropriate product for their intended use and are responsible for following applicable instructions and regulations.

SaltRidge does not guarantee that a product intended for one application is suitable for another application.

  1. FOOD, ANIMAL, AGRICULTURAL AND SPECIALIZED PRODUCTS

Where products are marketed for food, animal, equine, livestock, agricultural, hunting, de-icing, water-softening, or other specialized purposes, customers are responsible for confirming that the product is appropriate for their particular use.

Customers should review the product description, packaging, labeling, and applicable instructions before use.

Where professional, veterinary, agricultural, technical, or other specialized advice is required, customers should obtain advice from an appropriately qualified professional.

  1. PRICES

All prices displayed on the Website are in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated.

Prices may change without notice.

Unless specifically stated otherwise:

  • Applicable taxes are additional;
  • Delivery and shipping charges may be additional;
  • Wholesale pricing may differ from retail pricing;
  • Promotional pricing may be subject to additional conditions.

SaltRidge makes reasonable efforts to maintain accurate pricing on the Website.

If an obvious pricing, product, or listing error occurs, SaltRidge reserves the right to correct the error and, where appropriate, cancel the affected order.

If payment has already been processed for an order that SaltRidge cancels because of an error, the applicable amount paid for the cancelled order will be refunded.

  1. ORDERS

Placing an order through our Website constitutes an offer to purchase the selected products.

An order is not considered accepted until SaltRidge confirms or processes the order.

SaltRidge reserves the right, where permitted by law, to:

  • Accept or decline an order;
  • Limit quantities;
  • Request additional information;
  • Cancel an order;
  • Refuse an order where there is a legitimate reason to do so.

If we cancel an order after payment has been received, we will arrange an appropriate refund for the cancelled portion of the order, subject to applicable law.

  1. ORDER CONFIRMATION

After placing an order through WooCommerce, you may receive an order confirmation by email.

An order confirmation acknowledges that we have received your order. It does not necessarily mean that the order has been accepted or shipped.

SaltRidge may contact you if additional information, payment confirmation, product availability, or delivery information is required.

  1. WHOLESALE AND COMMERCIAL ORDERS

Wholesale and commercial customers may receive pricing and terms that differ from those available to individual retail customers.

Wholesale orders may be subject to:

  • Minimum order quantities;
  • Minimum order values;
  • Pallet or skid quantities;
  • Delivery charges;
  • Freight charges;
  • Separate payment arrangements;
  • Credit approval;
  • Account terms;
  • Special quotations.

Where SaltRidge provides a written quotation, purchase order agreement, wholesale agreement, or other written commercial arrangement, the specific written terms may apply to that transaction.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, wholesale or commercial customers should not assume that retail promotions, retail pricing, or retail return conditions apply to their orders.

  1. PAYMENT

Payment must be made using an available payment method offered by SaltRidge or otherwise approved by SaltRidge.

Depending on the order and customer, payment methods may include:

  • Credit or debit card;
  • Electronic transfer/e-transfer;
  • Cash;
  • Other payment methods made available by SaltRidge;
  • Approved commercial account terms.

SaltRidge may require payment before an order is released for delivery or pickup.

Commercial customers with approved account terms are responsible for paying invoices according to the agreed payment terms.

SaltRidge reserves the right to suspend further orders or deliveries where an account has an overdue balance, subject to applicable law and any written agreement.

  1. TAXES

Applicable federal, provincial, and other taxes will be charged where required by law.

Customers are responsible for applicable taxes unless a valid exemption applies.

  1. DELIVERY AND SHIPPING

SaltRidge may provide delivery, shipping, freight, pickup, or other fulfillment options depending on the customer’s location and the products ordered.

Delivery and freight charges may depend on factors including:

  • Delivery location;
  • Distance;
  • Order size;
  • Weight;
  • Number of packages or pallets;
  • Delivery requirements;
  • Carrier charges;
  • Freight availability;
  • Special delivery arrangements.

A delivery or freight charge may be added to an order.

For certain wholesale or commercial orders, delivery or freight charges may be quoted separately.

  1. DELIVERY ESTIMATES

Any delivery date or time provided by SaltRidge is an estimate unless a specific delivery commitment has been expressly agreed to in writing.

Delivery times may be affected by:

  • Weather;
  • Traffic;
  • Road conditions;
  • Carrier delays;
  • Freight availability;
  • Mechanical issues;
  • Supply delays;
  • Holidays;
  • Other circumstances outside SaltRidge’s reasonable control.

SaltRidge will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant delays when possible.

  1. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY FOR DELIVERY

Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information, including:

  • Name;
  • Business name, where applicable;
  • Delivery address;
  • Contact information;
  • Special delivery instructions;
  • Any information reasonably required to complete the delivery.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that someone is available to receive an order where a delivery requires a recipient.

Additional delivery charges may apply if a delivery cannot be completed because of inaccurate information, lack of access, an unavailable recipient, or other circumstances attributable to the customer, where permitted by law.

  1. INSPECTION UPON DELIVERY

Customers should inspect their order as soon as reasonably possible after receiving it.

If an order is:

  • Damaged;
  • Missing items;
  • Incorrect;
  • Materially different from what was ordered;

please contact SaltRidge promptly.

Where applicable, customers should provide:

  • Order or invoice number;
  • Description of the issue;
  • Photographs of the product and packaging;
  • Delivery documentation;
  • Other information reasonably requested by SaltRidge.

Nothing in these Terms removes or limits any rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer protection legislation.

  1. DAMAGED, DEFECTIVE, OR INCORRECT PRODUCTS

If you receive a product that is damaged, defective, or materially different from what you ordered, contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

After reviewing the circumstances, SaltRidge may provide an appropriate remedy, which may include:

  • Replacement;
  • Refund;
  • Store or account credit;
  • Other appropriate resolution.

We may request photographs or other information before determining the appropriate resolution.

  1. RETURNS AND REFUNDS

Returns require prior approval from SaltRidge unless otherwise required by applicable law.

Because certain SaltRidge products are consumable, opened, used, or packaged specifically for a customer, some products may not be eligible for return.

Products may not be eligible for return if they have been:

  • Opened;
  • Used;
  • Contaminated;
  • Damaged after delivery;
  • Improperly stored;
  • Modified;
  • Rendered unsuitable for resale.

Wholesale and commercial orders may have different return conditions.

Where a return is approved, the customer may be responsible for return shipping or other applicable costs unless the return results from a SaltRidge error or applicable law requires otherwise.

Nothing in this section is intended to limit any rights provided to consumers under applicable Ontario or Canadian consumer protection legislation.

  1. OUT-OF-STOCK PRODUCTS

Product availability may change without notice.

If a product becomes unavailable after an order has been placed, SaltRidge may contact the customer regarding:

  • A delayed shipment;
  • An alternative product;
  • Partial fulfillment;
  • Cancellation of the unavailable item;
  • Refund of the unavailable item.
  1. PROMOTIONS AND DISCOUNTS

Promotional pricing, coupons, discounts, and special offers may be subject to additional terms.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Promotions cannot necessarily be combined;
  • Promotional quantities may be limited;
  • Promotions may have expiration dates;
  • Certain products or customers may be excluded;
  • Wholesale pricing may not qualify for retail promotions.

SaltRidge reserves the right to modify or end a promotion where permitted by law.

  1. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

SaltRidge may use third-party companies and service providers to support the Website and fulfill orders, including:

  • Payment processors;
  • Shipping and freight carriers;
  • Courier services;
  • Website hosting providers;
  • Analytics providers;
  • Email service providers;

SaltRidge is not responsible for delays or failures caused solely by a third party except where liability cannot legally be excluded or limited.

All content on the SaltRidge Website, including:

  • Product photographs;
  • Graphics;
  • Text;
  • Product descriptions;
  • Website design;
  • Marketing materials;
  • Other original content;

is owned by SaltRidge or used with permission and may be protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, copy, modify, publish, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit our Website content without prior written permission.

  1. CUSTOMER REVIEWS AND SUBMITTED CONTENT

Customers may have the opportunity to submit reviews, comments, photographs, testimonials, or other content.

By submitting content to SaltRidge, you confirm that:

  • You have the right to submit the content;
  • The content is not knowingly false or misleading;
  • The content does not unlawfully infringe another person’s rights;
  • The content does not contain unlawful or harmful material.

SaltRidge reserves the right to remove content that it considers inappropriate, unlawful, misleading, offensive, or inconsistent with these Terms.

  1. FORCE MAJEURE

SaltRidge will not be responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

  • Transportation disruptions;
  • Labour disruptions;
  • Government actions;
  • Supply shortages;
  • War;
  • Public emergencies;
  • Infrastructure failures;
  • Carrier disruptions;
  • Other circumstances beyond reasonable control.
  1. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

SaltRidge may update these Terms from time to time.

When changes are made, the updated version will be posted on the Website with a revised “Last Updated” date.

Your continued use of the Website after updated Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

  1. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada.

Subject to any mandatory consumer rights or protections, disputes relating to these Terms or your use of the Website will be subject to the applicable courts of Ontario.

  1. SEVERABILITY

Where a separate written agreement has been entered into with a wholesale or commercial customer, that agreement may govern where its terms conflict with these Terms.
